FATAL AIR CRASH

AIR VICE-MARSHAL BLOUNT KILLED (Received 25th October, 11.50 a.m.) LONDON. 24th October. The “Evening News” stated that Air Vice-Marshal C. H. B. Blount, commander of an air component of the B.E.F. •n France, was killed in an air crash. The plane failed to gain height and hit a tree after taking off. It skimmed the roof of some houses, stripping off tiles and crashed in a garden, smashing in the front of the house, damaging two others. The plane then caught fire.

Five other ships ha/e arrived at Morocco. Overseas supplies are arriving in France under conditions which are tending to improve daily
