HAPPINESS CLUB
[To the Editor] Sir,—ln. answer to “Happy Joe" regarding the visiting members of till Happiness Club from Auckland: The} all paid their own fares plus accommodation, except a few who stayed wi l l friends. They were a splendid bodj of women and thoroughly enjoyed theii visit to our city and the celebrations at the opening of the first South Islam Club.' Well “Happy Joe” if you are so happ} you must be spreading happiness tc others for that is the foundation of Irut happiness. A cheery smile and handshake to the lonely, comfort to the sorrowing etc., is a full and true life Service to others—that is life and whj we are here and each and all have their mission in life. Radiate goodwill to others and you can never be anything but happy. As to “Scrim”—Beyond being controller of Commercial Stations, controlling announcers on paid time of clients, “Scrim” has nothing to do with our club. It is solely a women’s organisation. Also our club is non-political and not much interested in what politicians think of us. We intend to do good work and spread happiness to one and all. So keep on keeping on, “Happy Joe” is the wish ol "HAPPINESS TO YOU.” Nelson, 24th October.
