TAHUNANUI
SUCCESSFUL GALA A large gathering of parents and friends attended the Tahnuanui School on the occasion of the Home and School Association’s annual Gala Day. I Good weather both in the afternoon i and the evening helped to make the fair an outstanding success. Mr E. Davy, chairman of the Home and' School Association welcomed the visitors and then introduced Mr C. H. Chamberlain who, after a brief address on the aims and objects of the association, declared the gala open. After the singing of the National Anthem the stalls were open for business, and, those behind the counters were kept busy until a late hour. The association’s thanks are due to those town firms who so liberally gave prizes, etc., and !to all the residents of Tahunanui who gave so freely of their produce, cakes I etc.
