WEEK'S SHIPPING LOSSES

SLIGHTLY BELOW AVERAGE [U.P.A.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] (Received 31st Julv, 9.10 a.m.) LONDON, 30th July. The Admiralty report that mercantile losses by enemy action during the week ended 21st July were 11 British, totalling 37,577 tons, one Allied, totalling 2088 tons, and six neutral, totalling

10.192 tons. The total loss was slightly below the weekly average since the outbreak of the war and rather less than one-fourth of the highest weekly total. The total German losses to 28th July were approximately 908.000 tons and Italian 254,000 tons. About 20.000 tons formerly neutral but now trolled was also sunk.
