! THE PARAMOUNT DUTY lUniler- iAUCKLAND, 2Gth June. "The paramount duty of every individual and every business was to help Mr H. P’. Worsp. chairman of directors of the Farmers’ Trading Company, Ltd., at the annual general meeting of share- ' holders. The company, he said, had assisted the Government with a war loan of 1 £25,000 and its factories were busily j engaged on war work. Between 60 and 170 of the staff had volunteered for | overseas service and a similar number ; for home defence. The directors realised ‘ the importance of intensifying efforts to . sell New Zealand-made goods, i The company, said the chairman, was i in a very strong financial position, its turnover having reached record figures 1 as shown in the balance sheet previous- ; ly published.
