REDWOOD’S VALLEY CLUB Play in the Mixed Canadian Foursomes played on Saturday on the Redwood’s Valley Golf Club links, proved very interesting, the best cards handed in being those of Miss Thomas and Clark (72), Mrs Grigg and Bensemann (78), Miss Reay and Roach (79), Miss Cook and Max (81), Mrs Challies and Mcßride (82), and Mrs Clark and Simm (85). CAPTAIN’S TROPHY Further play in the second round of the Captain’s Trophy saw Dodds beat Cottrell and Searell beat P. Challies. The one remaining match, Falconer versus Stewart, is set down for Saturday next. BOGEY COMPETITION The draw for the Bogey competition on Saturday next, which is to be played in Flights, details of which appear in the Club House, is as follows: — A: Bensemann v. Clark. Max v. J. Reay Dodds v. A. Newman, Searell v. Mitchell. B : H. Challies v. Dawson, L. Challies v. A L. Smith, Gaffney v. Grigg, W. Roach v. A. S. Davies. C: Cottrell v. McKechnie, MacGlashen v. Mcßride, M. Davies v. G. Challies. W. Hoddy v. W. Simm. Other games: Robertson v. O’Connor, Palmer v. W. Reay. INTER-CLUB MATCH The inter-club match with Stoke did not eventuate due to the inclemency of the weather. It is hoped to provide a more suitable afternoon on this approaching week-end, when the Club may entertain its visitors. Apart from the two teams already arranged for, it is hoped to include a B team of six or eight players from Stoke to accompany the A team.
Members are asked to examine the notices in the Club House to familiarise themselves with further details of the vis't.
