MINISTER'S APPRECIATION
SOLDIERS’ CIVIL ESTABLISHMENT LEAGUE MUCH IMPORTANT WORK AHEAD [United Press Association] WELLINGTON, This Day. The Government’s appreciation of the valuable work being performed by the Soldiers’ Civil Re-establishment League was conveyed to the League by the Minister of Defence, the Hon. F. J ones, at the sixth annual meeting. He hoped members would continue their activities since there would be much important work to do in the years to come. Those responsible for forming . the league must be very gratified with what had been accomplished over the years. If they could plan ' ahead for men who might be brought i back disabled or sick so much the bet- ’ i ter. The Government had set up a com- ; mittee which so far was only departmental, and a very valuable report had ; been submitted to the Government. The ; intention, however, was to have the whole questipn of the repatriation and j rehabilitation of men examined and he : | understood the Prime Minister, the Hon. P. Fraser, had agreed to make the organisation as representative as possible.
