CENTENNIAL CELEBRITY CONCERT

FULL HOUSE ASSURED The box plans for the Centennial Celebrity Concert to be held in the School of Music on Monday next at 8 p.m. were only opened on Monday morning. Early this morning, an inspection of the plan disclosed the fact that a wonderful response had been made by the people of Nelson, for of the 140 seats that were available at 4s, only 18 remained unreserved, and of the 280 seats at 2s 6d only 83 were not yet reserved. This of course does not allow for any reservations that may have been made to-day. The management would strongly advise all those who wish to hear the concert to make immediate application for reserves at Beg gand Co., to save any disappointment. This is a glorious opportunity for the people of Nelson and district to hear a number of world-renowned artists at one time, and judging by the heavy bookings full advantage is being taken ot it. The company will arrive by plane from Wellington at midday on Monday, and will be staying at the Hotel Nelson, and consists of Miss Isobel Bailiie, Miss Gladys Ripley, Mr and Mrs Heddle Nash, Mr Oscar Natzke. Mr Vincent Aspey, Mr Harry Ellwood. Mr William McLean, Mr Francis Bate, Mr Clifford Huntman, Mr W. A. Jameson, and Mr A. W. Mulligan.
