LONDON MOTORISTS GO IN FOR GAS

PLANTS ARE CHEAPER [By Air Mail—Special Correspondent] LONDON, Bth June. Gas-filling stations for cars in the Greater London area are multiplying steadily. A week or two ago there were only 60. Now there are 100. Also increasing is the number of engineering firms that have registered as willing to adapt car engines so that they can use gas. Before the invasion of the Low Countries there were comparatively few firms able to carry out the work. To-day in Greater London there are 62, some of which can adapt vehicles of any size. Prices show signs of coming down. Small cars can now be adapted for between £2O-£25, which included the cost of the balloons. The driver can now switch from the use of petrol to gas in 30 seconds.
