WOMEN’S DIVISION

REDWOOD’S VALLEY BRANCH The general meeting of the Redwod's Valley branch of the W.D.F.U. was held in the hall with a fair attendance of members. After the reading of the creed the minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. On the motion of Mrs Brown it was decided that £ 1 be sent to the Community Chest. In the competitions the shoulder sprays were well displayed, the winners being Mrs Callaghan 1, and Mrs Cole 2. The bottled fruit competition was won by Mrs Evans. A delightful afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames Callaghan,

Ralfe and Miss Sutton. A large amount of patriotic work was j attended to. Three very nice quilts for j the refugees were admired by all. The ■ singing of the National Anthem brought] the meeting to a close. I
