A bright dance has been arranged in the Lansdowne Hall at Appleby tonight. Everything possible is being done to ensure a pleasant evening for patrons. All funds are going to the St. John Ambulance Association, and it is hoped its funds will be considerably augmented as a result. A free bus is leaving the Suburban bus stand at 7.45 i t«. facilitate travelling for town patrons. I The Department of Agriculture will hold a field demonstration on Messrsj Parkes Bros’, property, 88 Valley, Wake-' field, on Wednesday, 3rd July, at 2 pfimfl All farmers are cordially invited to be present. The Nelson Labour Party will hold its weekly dance at the Velma to-night at 8 o’clock. Music will be by the Labour Dance Band of 7 players, and dancing will be old time and modern. Prizes will be given for Early Bird, Monte Carlos, etc. Supper will be served by the ladies.
