MOTUPIPI W.D.F.U.

1 The singing of the National Anthem | and reading of the Creed opened the i monthly meeting of the Motupipi j W.D.F.U. held in the schoolroom. The president. Mrs M. V. Humphreys, was in the chair, and presided over a fair attendance of members. Birthday greetings were conveyed to Mrs A. »Manson. The roll call, "My Oldest j Possession” was then heard, members producing some interesting and amusi ing relics. A report on the annual ! meeting of the Golden Bay Provincial ! Executive was given by Mrs Humphreys, and discussion of the proposed cancellation of conference was heard. The secretary gave an account of the knitted articles distributed to soldiers by the branch, quite a creditable number of balaclavas, kneepads, socks, mittens and scarves being given to local boys. The roll call for next meeting will be “My Favourite Motto.” Community singing and supper concluded the meeting.
