OBITUARY

MR J. THOMAS The sudden death of Mr John Thomas in the Nelson Hospital came as a great shock to his many friends in the Murchison district. The late Mr Thomas was born in the Wairau Valley, and was the son of the late Mr James Thomas and Mrs Thomas, of Motueka. Mr Thomas had spent most of his life in the Nelson district, his home being in tht Owen Valley. Mr Thomas had been a prominent member of local sports clubs. Mr Thomas leaves a widow and family of five: Mrs South (Otorohanga), Sarah, David, Norris, and Charles, all of Owen Valley.
