POLICE CONSTABLE CHARGED 1 United Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. An accident in Linwood Avenue on 3rd February had a sequel in Court to-day when a police constable was charged with negligent driving thereby causing bodily injury to a young woman. Accused was Constable Leonard Cook. The case opened so that evidence could be taken from Dr. Gilbert Murray who is shortly leaving for the Chatham Islands and then adjourned till 26th April. The doctor said that the girl would not suffer any after effects. Accused had told him that the car overturned.
