H.M.S. ACHILLES

SUGGESTED VISIT TO SYDNEY [U.P.A.— By Electric Telegraph-Copyright] (Received 26th February, 11.45 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Lord Mayor, Mr Crick, said'that nothing would arouse greater enthusiasm in Sydney than a visit by H.M.S. Achilles. “If the New Zealand Naval Board could see its way to arrange a visit to Sydney I would be delighted to honour the officers and crew. Sydney would go the limit in paying tribute to their gallantry.” Royal Australian Navy officials said that the Navy is keen to have the opportunity to honour their comrades in H.M.S. Achilles.
