CONN UNIMPRESSIVE AGAINST COOPER (U.P.A.-Bv Electric Telesraph-CoDyrttfht) NEW YORK, 11th January. Conn, world light-heavyweight boXing champion. 173J1b, unimpressively beat Henry Cooper, Brooklyn heavyweight, 1901bs, on points. In spite of the punches Conti landed, he could not put the plodding big fellow on the floor. Cdnn’s plans are now uncertain. The bout was to have determined his fitness to meet Joe Louis. Cooper recently lost a close decision to Gunrtar B&rltltid.
At the request of a number of people another dance has been arranged for to-morrow (Saturday) night in the new Stok: Hall. Harold Williams’s Dance Band will again be there, and two wristlet watches will be given to the winners of the Monte Carlo.
