TAKAKA STOCK SALE
A stock sale held at Takaka by the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Co., and Dalgety Ltd., yesterday, sav a good yarding of sheep, but buyers showed a reluctance to stock up owing to shortage of feed caused by the very dry weather. The quality of the stock offered was mediocre except for one or two lines. Sales were as follows: 2 tooth, crossbred ewes 18s; sound mouth ewes 9s 3d; fat and forward ewes, 8s; 4 tooth ewes, 9s; \vethers, 8s 9d; wethers, 14s 9d; lambs, 4s Gd: weaner pigs, 8s to 13s 6d; yearling heifers, £3
