MOTOR-BOAT STRIKES REEF APIA, llth January—The motorboat Tutuila. of Pago Pago, returning from Apia with 27 passengers and 25 tons of cocoa, struck a reef entering Pago harbour. The boat is a total loss. Two Samoan boys, each three years old, were drowned. A small portion of the cocoa and luggage was recovered. The vessel (which is of forty-six tons) and cargo were insured. AID TO FINLAND PARIS, llth January.—Cheering greeted M. Herriot's statement at the opening of the Chamber that it was France’s duty to send all aid within its power to Finland.
