SEEN AGAINST HOLLAND

NEW ARMY HEADQUARTERS NEAR FRONTIER GUN POSITIONS AND AERODROMES PREPARATIONS UNDER WAY [U.P.A.—By Electric Telegraph-Copyright] (Received 10th January, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, 9th January. The Amsterdam correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph” says it is reliably stated that new German army headquarters have been established at Recklinghausen, Westphalia, 40 miles from the Dutch frontier. A fresh German threat to Holland as formidable as that of last November may be expected in two or three weeks. Heavy artillery positions have been prepared near the frontier, particularly in the wedge of German territory protruding into the Kelve district of Holland, and new air field sites are sited along the Dutch frontier from Emden to Aachen.
