MEETING OF DOMAIN BOARD LOAN OF £SOO FOR FURTHER IMPROVEMENTS GALA TO BE HELD ON Ist FEBRUARY Members present at a meeting of the Kaiteriteri Domain Board, held at Kaiteriteri, were Messrs Fred A. Hamil-! ton (chairman), R. C. Scott, S. L. Rowl-! ing, P. R. Wilkinson, R. J. L. York, John Corder and W S. Drummond. The Registrar, Social Security, Nel-! son, wrote stating that the subsidy under Scheme 13 for two men would be continued on a basis of £4 per majv, per week. The terms were accepted. Mr H. Coltman, Senior Inspector of 1 the Health Department, Nelson, waited on the board and placed before it pro-} posals respecting improvements at the j domain. It was resolved that the matter of completing these plans be left to Mr W. S. Drummond, in consultation with j Mr H. Coltman. It was agreed to install fire-places! with grease sumps alongside. Advice was received from the Loan Board that permission had been granted to raise a loan of £SOO by way of bank overdraft. The loan is for a period of nine years. After discussion it was decided to! hold a gala day at Kaiteriteri on Ist February, the proceeds to be devoted to the improvements of the domain with I a portion to be handed to the Provin j cial Patriotic Council. •An inspection of the domain was! made by members of the board when an opportunity was taken to discuss further improvements to this popular re-! sort which has attracted hundreds of i visitors during the holiday period.
