FLYING DANCER
EXERCISES AT 10,000 FEET DARWIN, 27th December. Serge Lifar, the ballet dancer, continued his dancing exercises even while travelling by flying-bo«*t from England to Australia. D? ly, at 10,000 feet, he w nt through the complicated series of movements which help to keep his muscles supple. He used for the purpose the spacious promenade deck. Because there were only a few other passengers he had space to undertake many exercises! which otherwise would have been im-! possible. When the flying-boat arrived at Darwin to-day, officers said they had never before heard of a plane beini used for such a purpose. Serge Lifar is one of ' principal members of Colonel de F oil’s balle.t other members of which have already reac.ed Sydney.
