NEW PLYMOUTH TITLES [United Press Association] NEW PLYMOUTH, Bth January. The finals of the Taranaki tenni* championships resulted:— Men’s Singles: C. H. Strombom beat J. C. Charters, 6-3, 1-6, 6-2. Men’s Doubles: J. J. McCarthy and A. Dickie beat C. H. Strombom and J. C. Charters, 8-10, 6-2, 6-2. Women’s Singles: Miss M. Beverley beat Miss J. Potter, 6-3, 6-1. Women’s Doubles: Misses N. and M. Beverley beat Misses Ramsay and Hansen. 7-5, 6-1. Combined Doubles: J. J. McCarthy and Miss M. Beverley beat A. Dicki# and Miss N. Beverley. 6-2, 4-6, 6-3.
