RESPONSE TO BROADCAST APPEAL TOTAL BROUGHT TO £50,000 [British Official Wireless] (Received 3rd January, 10.50 a.m.) RUGBY, 2nd Januarv The response to a broadcast appeal by Earl Baldwin for King George’s fund for sailors reached £25.000. thereby qualifying for a contribution from Lord Nuffield bringing the total to £50,000, which is a record for broadcast appeals in England.
