ANNUAL FESTIVAL

THE CATHEDRAL CHOIR The Cathedral Choir will render its annual recital of sacred music this evening at 8 o’clock iu the Cathedral. The choral numbers include solos and choruses, selections from “The Creation” (Hudvn) and “Elijah” (Mendelssohn) and tlie latter’s favourite Motett tor soprano solo and chorus,—“Hear My Prayer” will also be sung, Mrs T. Grant Being the soloist. An harmonised version of the popular sacred song “My Task’’ will be rendered (unaccompanied). The organ items will include miniatures of the great masters. —Schumann, McDowell, Tschaikowsky, and Schubert. Funner recitals have been well received by the congregation and it is anticipated that there will be a large attendance to-night. The choir will be augmented to secure balance. The soloists are Miss Noui Moore, Mrs Grant, Mrs Claughton Messrs Fanner Bourne and t*** Dean.
