PRICE OF HAIRCUTTING
ITo The Editor! Sir,- Some time ago a letter appeared i i the columns of your paper with reference to the increased price of haircutting. : A great number of the public of Nelson . arc waiting for an answer to that letter. It is known that the costs have not gone up to the trade so why should we pay ■ more for a job which still only takes five • to 10 minutes at the outside. \Ye know , hairdressers are necessarv. but surclv. Sir. the hairdressers know ‘that the largest portion of their business comes from the woi king class. How is it that, one hair. • dresser in town can still make a good I living at the .old price? It gops to prove • that he does not. believe in putting up 1 the price without it is warranted. It seems i to me. Sir, that the Hairdressers’ Associai tion have not got a plausible exruse other. i wise it. would have been published before . now—l am etc., WORKER. : Nelson, 25th August.
