POSSIBILITY OF MAJOR CONFLAGRATION COMMENT BY SUNDAY PRESS [British Official Wireless] (Received 21st August. 1.43 p.m.) RUGBY, 20th August. Sunday newspapers reveal common awareness to so-called “war nerves" and that Europe is now entering upon its decisive and most dangerous phase and that the risks that the iinal phase may prove the prelude to a major conflagration are so serious they must bo openly hut steadfastly faced. They are almost equally unanimous in the view that the hope of peace today resides in proclaiming for the truth. They obviously believe it to be the unaltering resolution of the British and French people to take up arms if upon whatever pretext the Axis Powers again have recourse to methods of force or intimidation. MOVEMENTS OF BRITISH MINISTERS {British Official Wireless] (Received 21st August, 1.25 p.m.) RUGBY, 20th August. Lord Halifax. Foreign Minister, after preparing the report he will make to his Cabinet colleagues on Tuesday, left for Yorkshire by train last night and will return to LoVidon early to-mor-row morning. Mr Chamberlain, Prime Minister, is expected in London early to-morrow morning and Mr Hore-Belisha, War Minister, left Cannes to-day for London.
