The agreement practically erases the air frontier. Aircraft will he able to circulate almost as if Canada and the United States were one country. American companies state that the route to Alaska has hitherto been baulked by British interests which, alarmed by American penetration towards Australia and the Orient, feared ttiat the granting ot‘ permission to fly non stop over Canada might interfere with their own plans for a service to the Orient via Canada.
