APPOINTMENT AND TRANSFER OF OFFICERS LUnited Press Association] WELLINGTON, This Day. The following appointments and transfers of officers of the New Zealand Military Forces are announced in the Gazette: Lieutenant-Colonel A. J. Nicholl appointed to command the Canterbury Yeomanry Cavalry. Major O. L. Ferens appointed to command the Otago Mounted Rifles. Lieutenant Colonel A. C. Nathan appointed lo cornii and the Nelson-Marlhoi'-ough Mounted Rifles. Major (.'. M. Rout, Nclson-Marlborough and West Coast Regiment, to be Lieuten-ant-Colonel and appointed to command the First Battalion. Lieutenant-Colonel ,T. M. Samson appointed to command the First Battalion, Otago Regiment. Lieutenant-Colonel E. F. Selhv appointed to command the First Battalion, South, land Regiment for one year. Major J. M. Mitchell, Regiment of New Zealand Artillery, relinquishes command of the Tenth Field Battery and is appointe 1 to command the Twenty third Heavy Battery. Captain H. C. Caldwell, New Zealand Corps of Signals, relinquishes command of the Southern District Signal Company and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers.
