INVESTIGATION IN NEW SOUTH WALES PRICES AND SUPPLY TENDENCIES • UPA-Hv Klietrie lelegniDh <'«>■•« m^i.i SYDNEY, 30th June. The New South Wales Treasurer, Mr A. Mair, has decided to conduct an investigation into the welfare of primary industries, and particularly wool and wheat . He said :“1 cannot but feel con ctred about prices and supply tendencies i:i the light of statistical information in my possession.” He suggested that while those countries which the Government used to regard as importers now seek to establish them selves as self-sufficient, coulped f’ith a dim inishing demand for Australian products, it would be necessary in the future to adopt completely original forms of treat ment and approach to which he would devote himself.
