REQUEST REFUSED FREE ENTRY OF FOREIGN SHIPPING HONG KONG. 28th June. The Japanese hoisted their own flag in the place oi the Union Jack at Swatow landing wharf. The Japanese Consul rejected the British Consul's request for free entry of foreign shipping. The food situation at Tientsin has greatly cased.
