JAPANESE TERMS ARMY ANNOUNCEMENT il/P.A.-B.v Electric Telegraph -Copy rightl (Received 2.9 th June. 1.15 p.m.) TIENTSIN. 28th June. The Japanese Army announced that the minimum requirements for lifting the blockade are, firstly, thorough British and Japanese action against terrorists in the British Concession; secondly, drastic control of anti-Japanese elements in the Concession; thirdly, British co-operation in the economic policy of the Japanese-sponsored government in North China, and fourthly, handing over 48,000,000 Chinese dollars held in the Concession's Chinese banks. REQUEST REFUSED FREE ENTRY OF FOREIGN SHIPPING HONG KONG. 28th June. The Japanese hoisted their own flag in the place oi the Union Jack at Swatow landing wharf. The Japanese Consul rejected the British Consul's request for free entry of foreign shipping. The food situation at Tientsin has greatly cased.
