BOROUGH OF RICHMOND I jVOTICE is hereby given that the Richmond Borough Council will, at | a meeting of the Council to be held on the 11th day of July, 1939, make and levy the undermentioned rates for the | year commencing on the first-day of j April, 1939, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1940, on the capital value | ol ! the whole of the rateable property i within the Borough of Richmond, I namely:— j GENERAL RATE under Section i 77 of The Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, of seven-eighths of a penny in the pound. A HOSPITAL AND CHARITABLE AID RATE under Section 53 of The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act, 1926. of eleven-thirty-seconds of a penny in the pound. A SPECIAL RATE (annually recurring) of one-half penny in the pound to provide for interest and sinking fund and other charges, if any, on the Richmond Borough Conversion Loan, 1934 (No. 2). A SPECIAL RATE under Section 85 of The Harbours Act. 1923, on behalf, of the Nelson Harbour Board, of eleven-fifty-sixths of a penny in the pound. A SPECIAL RATE (annually recurring) of one-sixteenth of a penny in the pound to provide interest and sinking fund and other charges, if any, on the Town Hall Loan, 1937, and the Town Hall Supplementary Loan, 1938 A SANITARY RATE ‘under Section 90 of The Municipal Corporations Act. 1933, of One pound twelve shillings and six pence (£1 12s 6d> per annum on all properties served within the area specified by Special Order A WATER RATE (ordinary supply) under Section 82 of The Municipal Corporations Act, 1933, on all lands and buildings to which water is supplied:— 1. (a) Where the annual value does not exceed £l2 10s a rate of ten shillings per annum. (b) Where the annual value exceeds £l2 10s a uniform rate of 23 per centum of the rateable value. 2. On all lands and buildings to which water can be but is not supplied, situate within 100 yards of any part of the waterworks, a rate of one-half of the above mentioned rales.
