Nash, New Zealand Minister of Finance, is at present countering a barrage of protestations from British manufacturers in respect of the import restrictions, including the National Federations of radio, boot and shoe, woollen, glass, linoleum, and hosiery manufacturers, with whom he is in close consultation, each presenting a case why more of its particular products should be admitted to New Zealand. Mr Nssh is also engaged in conversations with the heads of banking, insurance and shipping interests. He conferred with Sir John Reith, chairman of Imperial Airways Ltd., in respect of the trans-Tasman air service His forthcoming engagements include an address to the London Chamber of Commerce on 16th June, and a visit to the Imperial Defence College on 15th June.
