PRESENTATION TO MISS J. ROWLING t Miss Jean Rowling, who is shortly to be married to Mr Jack Ward, of ’ Auckland, was entertained by member* • of the Riwaka Ladies’ Hockey Club on : Saturday at a gift evening, held at the ■’ residence of her father, Mr N. Rowling, Riwaka. A very enjoyable tiyie waa c spent in games and community singing, music being provided by Mr G. Burk 11 and Miss M. Scott. On behalf of members of the club, th* 11 president, Mr T. O. Chittenden, presented the guest of honour with a silver fruit dish and spoke in eulogistic term* E of the excellent services rendered to the club by Miss Rowling in the capacity of treasurer and as a playing member. Mr Chittenden also thanked friends for the many useful kitchen gifts received by Miss Rowling that 1 evening. i In the absence of Mr Ward.
