Snowfall at Hermitage
The week-end change in the weather ; brought the first snowfall of the season at the Hermitage. Mount Cook, i Ten inches fell at the Hermitage and • two feet at the Ball Hut. Although this ■ first fall has come -very late this year, it has been heavy enough to give i%iod prospects for the rest of the winter 1 season. Eighteen inches of snow fell at the Lewis Pass during the week-end. ,
