! ITALO-BULGARIAN PACT I i GREAT DIPLOMATIC ACTIVITY j
LONDON, 10th June, i The Balkans have become a centre ! of intense activity, engendering severe ! local tension. Italy and Bulgaria have i signed a cultural pact, under which the ! study of the Italian language will be | obligatory in Bulgarian schools, and there will be an exchange of teachers, films, books, plays and radio talks. Commenting on the Air Force talks between Italy and Germany, the Italian newspapers say that it will be “most important at the outset of a war to strike against the ports at which France is embarking black troops and the British are embarking forces for France.” “II Tevere” says that the talks resulted in the selection of war-time ob-' jectives.
