UNUSUAL CRICKET INCIDENT.—GarIand-Wells, the Surrey captain, at first slip, accepts a chance from Headley in the West Indies v. Surrey match at the Oval last month. GarlandWells immediately threw the ball in the air and failed to recatch it, the umpire deciding that the ball had not been held sufficiently long, and that the batsman was not out.
