WELCOMED BY AUSTRALIA (Received 13th June, 10.25 a.m.) CANBERRA. This Day. / The Federal Prime Minister, Mr R G. Menzies, stated that ihe Commonwealth Government welcomed Mr Chamberlain’s announcement that the British Government was ready to discus' the claims of Germany and others if there was a reasonable prospect of settlement by negotiation acid not bj* force.
