STILL AT COCOS ISLAND BUILDING YARDS INSPECTED r ' bv Kiwi nr I’Hlegraph G.muul" (Received 13th June, 10.50 a.m.) COCOS ISLAND, 12th June. A message from the Commonwealth official correspondent on the survey plane Guba. states that the plane will take off at 11 a.m. on Tuesday providing the weather report is satisfactory. Radio communication has been established with H.M.S. Manchester, which is stationed at Diego Garcia Island. Governor Ross, of Cocos Island, showed Captain Taylor the workshops and building yards established at Home I.sland adjoining Cocos Island. Captain Taylor was impressed with the facilities provided there, which are suitable for dealing with repairs to aircraft, also many evidences of the splendid craftsmanship employed in boat building.
