OBITUARY

MR A. r. TASKER M. Arthur Francis Tasker, who*# death has occurred, was a son of Mf and Mrs A. E. Tasker, of Nelson. H# was educated at Nelson College, and at an early age was an aviation cadet with Walsh Bros. Later, at the age of 20. he went to Europe, and secured a commission in the Royal Air Force, and during the war as Flight-Lieutenant was stationed first at Croydon and later at Reading. Then he was engaged in submarine chasing by aeroplane in the English Channel. The late Mr Tasker returned to New Zealand in 1919 and since then has been in business with his father, but retained his interest in aviation % as a n-.ember of the Nelson Aero Club. Thei * was a large attendance of ReturnSoldiers at the funeral, and th# President of the R.S.A. took part in thg service.
