BROADCAST REMARKS CONTROLLER OF COMMERCIAL STATIONS lUnneil PreM Association I DUNEDIN, This Day. Exception to the broadcast remark! of the Controller of Commercial Broadcasting, Mr C. G. Scrimgeour, was taken by several members at the executive meeting of the Territorial Association. U was claimed that the Controller had alleged that war was being fomented Ly America and other countries to stimulate recruiting. Such remarks, it was objected, were prejudicial to local recruiting, and further, were unbecoming public remarks from a civil servant* It was decided to communicate with th! Defence Minister, the Hon. F. Jones, asking that steps be taken to prevent g repetition of such incidents.
