MURCHISON COUNTY COUNCIL SPECIAL ORDER STAFF HOUSING LOAN, 1939, OF <£2500 IVOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Murchison County Council held on Wednesday, the 24th May, 1939, the following resolution to take effect as a Special Order was passed, and will be submitted for confirmation at the Ordinary Meeting of the Council to be held at 10.30 a.m. on the 12th July, 1939, in the Council Chambers, Fairfax Street, Murchison: IN PURSUANCE of “The Counties Act, 1920,” "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926,” and "The Local Bodies Loans Board Act, 1926,” and Amendments thereto, the Murchison County Council hereby resolves as follows: 1. —That the Murchison County Council borrow the sum of TWO THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED POUNDS (£2500) for the purpose of erecting two houses for the occupation of the Council Staff. 2. The said loan to be known as the "Staff Housing Loan. 1939.*' 3. —That the currency of the said loan or any part thereof, shall be for a period of TWENTY-FIVE (25) years. 4. —The rate of interest shall be such as shall not produce to the lender a rate exceeding THREE POUNDS (£3) per centum per annum. 5. —The said loan or any part thereof, together with interest thereon, shall be | paid by equal aggregate annual or half- ; yearly instalments extending over the term of the loan of 25 years. 6. —The paymnets of such instalments shall be made in New Zealand, and it is not proposed to pay any of the first year’s interest or instalments out of such loan. 7. —lt is not proposed to pay any amount out of the loan monies for brokerage, underwriting or procuration fees in respect of the raising of the said loan. 8. —That the security for the said loan will be a Special Rate of 17-64ths of a penny in the Pound appropriated and pledged, calculated on the Unimproved Value of, and levied over the whole of the Murchison County. 9- —The plans and specifications for the proposed houses have been approved of by the Minister of Housing. 10.—The houses will be the property of the Murchison County Council, and shall not be sold without the consent of the Minister of Housing.
