’OSTMI VS NIGHTMARI J Lions recently held up the Hov*l , Mails in Northern Rhodesia when six [cyclist-postmen were attacked by the i beasts. The natives formed a rampart by I 1 turning their bikes upside down in a circle. They also tried to imitate a machine-gun by spinning their wheels i and rattling sticks against them, hopI ing that the iions would be scared. But the lions didn't mind a bit They drew nearer to investigate the strange new music, and the frightened natives had to take refuge in a tree for six hours.
