INQUIRY IN SYDNEY iU.PA.-Hy Electric Telegraph «Copyright SYDNEY. 9th June. Following the recent inquiry into the price of bricks, when it was elicited that brickmakers had a method of controlling stocks, the Premier (the Hon. B. S. B. Stevens) ordered an industrial commission to fix the price. After the hearing of evidence concerning manufacturing costs Mr Justice Debaun to-day fixed the price of common bricks at 58s 6d per thousand, representing a reduction of 9s 6d, and the price of face bricks at 94s a thousand, being a reduction of 24s a thousand on current prices.
