EIGHTIETH BIRTHDAY TO-DAY The staff of Newman Bros., Ltd., in both the North and South Islands, today made a presentation to Mr Thomas Newman on the occasion of . his eightieth birthday, when the heartiest ot good wishes were expressed. The presentation consisted of a silver-moun-ted decanter and fountain pen desk

stand. Mr Newman has also presented the 75 members of the staff with a memento of the occasion. As is well known, Mr Thomas Newman, with his brother, the late Mr Harry Newman, founded the wellknown firm of Newman Bros, which first came into prominence in the old coaching days. Mr Newman has received the heartiest congratulations of his many friends.
