MOTOR CAR ACCIDENT

PASSENGER KILLED AND DRIVER INJURED (United Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Fatal internal injuries were received by Clarence Amos, aged about 22 years, farm labourer of Kaituna, when the car in which he was travelling as a passenger left the road and somersaulted, landing on its hood at Birdling's Flat at about 3.20 o’clock this morning. Amos was later admitted to the Christchurch Public Hospitalwhere he died at 6.25 a.m.

The driver of the car, Ronald Turner, railway surfaceman of Ataahua, received injuries to his chest and his condition is reported from the hospital as being serious.
