SLY GROG SELLING
MONTH’S IMPRISONMENT [Uuiled Press Association] INVERCARGILL, This Day. Cyril Neville Fairweather, married, with five sentenced to a month’s imprisonment to-day on charges of sly-grog selling. The case was adjourned from Wednesday by the Magistrate, Mr Abernethy, because he considered the defendant was under the influece of liquor. Counsel apologised this morning and stated that Thomas William Fox, an employee of defendant, who was fined £ls on Wednesday for three charges of sly-groy selling, died suddenly on Wednesday night, so defendant would find it difficult to carry on his fish and chip business.
