FOUND DEAD ON FARM

CHAIRMAN OF PENINSULA COUNTY COUNCIL l United Pres* Association) DUNEDIN. 11th May. Mr Joseph Cross, chairman of the Penmsula County Council, was found dead in an outbuilding on his farm, Portobello. at 9 o'clock this morning, with a gunshot woun 1 in the head. When the discovery was made by an employee it was too late to give any assistance, and the police vtere immediately informed.
