SERIOUS INTERNAL INJURIES
ACCIDENT TO PUBLIC WORKS EMPLOYEE I United Press Association] ASHBURTON, This Day. A fractured pelvis and serious internal injuries were sustained by Mr Osburne McQueen, an employee of the Public Works Department at Klondyke headworks of the Rangitata water diversion scheme. Mr McQueen was closing the door of a small galvanised iron storage shed when the building was blown over by a north-west gale, the corner of the roof striking Mr McQueen He is married, 31 years of age, and resides in Christchurch. His condition is satisfactory.
