Considering that the ages of the competitors range from ten to fifteen years, the degree of originality and artistic skill displayed is really remarkable. In conjunction with this competition, collective school efforts were arranged, carrying as a prize a silver cup. The cup was won by the Tollemache road School at Birkenhead, and was presented to the school by the High Commissioner, Mr W. J. Jordan, at a special function arranged by the school and the Mayor of Birkenhead.
