A request to the Minister of Housing, Mr Armstrong, to visit Auckland on Friday and investigate the causes of the recent resignation of the Housing Construction Department inspector in the Auckland district, Mr E. Hedley, was forwarded to the Minister by telegram following a stop-work meeting of the staff of the Housing Construction Department in Auckland. The meeting was fully attended by men from all sections of the staff.
